Overview
mondochat adds a hosted 1:1 chat with photos, videos, voice notes and video calls to your site with one script tag. You keep your users, roles and money. We host, store and moderate the conversations, and we tell your server what happened through webhooks.

How it fits together
Section titled “How it fits together”- Your server signs a short-lived client token for the user who is logged in on your site. It holds the app’s server secret and never sends it to a browser.
- Your page loads
embed.js, which puts the chat in an iframe and asks your token endpoint for that token. - The chat exchanges the token for a session token and talks to the API as that user.
- Your server calls the server API to create users, post system messages, ban people and record purchases.
- mondochat sends events to your server with webhooks, so you decide what to mail, push or text, with your own sender and branding.
